Electronic/Review SIR-VERE - ADORE
SIR-VERE is an indie electro band with punk ethics drifting between all things dance & rock. Since 2019, with the seminal PSYCHO BALLISTIC FUNK getting serious attention and plaudits worldwide. This was followed up with its sister album, SINGULUS, on Big Fat Mama Beats, which delved deeply into the RDM scene they are leading.
With “ADORE,” SIR-VERE bursts back onto the scene following their “LOVESCOPE” album, delivering a pulsing, leftfield electro-indie anthem tailor-made for late-night dancefloors. The track is a celebration of love and lust in the haze of strobe lights—a vivid soundtrack for fleeting glances and electric touches between strangers wrapped in rhythm.
Infused with the spirit of acts like Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem, “ADORE” is both homage and evolution. The groove is gritty yet playful, layered with analog synth textures, driving bass, and a vocal delivery that dances the line between raw emotion and calculated cool. There's a palpable energy here, a sense of spontaneity paired with meticulous production—thanks in part to the award-winning Vodzilla, who helps inject a dose of pure fun into the mix.
Beyond the original version, the single is flanked by two heavyweight remixes: the House Club Remix from MK legends Mind of Us, which leans into a deeper, four-on-the-floor momentum, and a reimagined Club Remix by Vodzilla himself, heightening the dancefloor urgency.
SIR-VERE doesn’t just return—they evolve, inviting both old fans and fresh ears to the party. “ADORE” is seductive, smart, and effortlessly cool, proving that indie-electro still has fresh, vital ground to cover when it dares to stray from the predictable. This isn’t just a song—it’s a moment, ready to be replayed until the lights come on.
