Electronic/Review Clubbing Dolls, Dj Aquana - Time To Say Goodbye

In the 90s Ivo Heerings, aka Dj Aquana, discovered the passion for music. He played in various discotheques and had a small hit single of his own. When life became more serious, he started working and started living with a partner. The music faded into the background but never really went away. However, now the little wild hairs are coming back, and he started under the name Dj Aquana.

Clubbing Dolls and Dj Aquana's "Time To Say Goodbye" is more than just a dance song; it's a moving ode to love encased in a throbbing, catchy sound. The song, which is the last installment in Dj Aquana's intensely personal “Ghost Story” series, transforms love, pain, and resiliency into a cathartic, intimate, and universal musical experience.

Produced in his home studio in Hoensbroek, Netherlands, Dj Aquana creates a piece that is both emotionally unvarnished and rhythmically captivating using well-known equipment including MIDI keyboards and Akai drum machines. "Time To Say Goodbye" combines euphoric EDM textures with a lyrical candor that is uncommon in the genre, and it draws inspiration from the late Avicii. It depicts a terrible yet beautiful separation, saying goodbye not just to a loved one but also to a chapter of life itself, with its soaring synths and poignant melodies.

Clubbing Dolls provides an airy vocal overlay that gives the song a vulnerable and warm foundation. Together, they have produced a song that strikes the heart and moves the feet. It serves as a reminder to live in the now, cherish the time spent with loved ones, and never take a day for granted.

"Time To Say Goodbye" is a celebration of life, sorrow, and the therapeutic power of sound, demonstrating how dance music can be a medium for intense emotion. It's a perfect conclusion to Dj Aquana's “Ghost Story” series and a brilliant illustration of how music can transform suffering into beauty.
