Rock/Review Sam Feinstein - Need Me

Born and raised in Peabody, Massachusetts, Sam Feinstein got his musical start on piano at age 7, adding bass-guitar, upright bass, guitar, cello, ukulele, percussion, synth, harmonica, and more to the mix. In high school, he started a ska band and a klezmer band. He moved to Miami for college to study Music Engineering at the Frost School of Music. In college, he formed a bluegrass/folk band and another ska band.

Rock guitar, ethereal synths, and memorable hooks come together in Sam Feinstein's "Need Me" to produce a singular, engrossing listening experience. The song's eerie, gloomy atmosphere draws listeners in right away, laying the groundwork for an intense emotional trip.

"Need Me" is primarily a synth-rock ballad that explores the nuances of addiction and unhealthy relationships. Written from the viewpoint of an addiction, the song personifies the addiction as a lover pleading for approval and focus. Feinstein skillfully conveys the turbulent nature of this relationship with melancholic lyrics and passionate singing, alluding to its violent overtones while also begging for love and approval.

In terms of music, "Need Me" is a demonstration of Feinstein's skill as a musician and songwriter. A dynamic and captivating sound is produced by the rock guitar's raw intensity, which contrasts with the song's catchy melodies and melodic layers. In addition to increasing the track's emotional effect and luring listeners further into its hypnotic universe, the ambient synthesizers give it depth and texture.

All things considered, "Need Me" is an impactful and moving song. The song strikes a deep emotional chord with listeners, prompting them to consider the intricacies of addiction and interpersonal relationships. Its eerie lyrics and ambient accompaniment further contribute to its allure.
